The Jenny Craig Diet Plan is based on three concepts: mind, food and body.
1. Jenny Craig Diet Plan: Mind
A dedicated consultant gives you personalised support whilst following the diet plan. They are also there to support, encourage and motivate you to reach your weight loss goals and then stay on track. Your consultant is to get to know you and your specific issues around eating and what is preventing you lose weight. They then provide tailored advice specific to your needs on how to lose weight and keep it off.
All Jenny Craig coaches attend comprehensive training and are certified by a Jenny Craig trainer. The coaches receive continuing education in areas such as nutrition, physical activity and motivation. If Jenny Craig members have special requirements, coaches may be assisted by trained dietitians for extra guidance. Each week, you have the chance to speak privately with your personal coach during a 15 minute phone call. You discuss any problems and ask any questions. Your coach monitors your progress and encourages you to set goals for food and exercise for the coming week.
You can also call your coach (or another member of the team) at any time – and the Jenny Care team is also on standby Mon-Fri from 8am to 8pm to help you out.
This is aimed to give you the mind set to succeed and is the basis of the Jenny Craig Diet Plan.
2. Jenny Craig Diet Plan: Food
Members of the Jenny Craig Diet Plan have breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks delivered to their door. There is no need to prepare your own meals or plan what you will be eating. It is therefore convenient and takes the stress out of deciding what your meals fro the day will be. There are a wide variety of meals all nutritionally calculated and specific to achieving your weight loss goals as discussed with your dedicated Jenny Craig Diet consultant.
Jenny Craig Food deliveries are hampers to your door via a delivery company DPD. Orders placed before 12pm are usually delivered the next working day. If you order after 12pm it will take a further working day to deliver. You can specify a later date if required. A signature is required on delivery. When you are down to one weeks’ worth of food you need to put in your order for the following week’s food. There is no automatic re-ordder.
There is no weighing, measuring, counting calories or meal replacement products to worry about. It is an easy approach to help you take the focus of what you can and cannot eat. Your personal coach determines your calorie level which is based on your age, height, current weight, gender and fitness level. The lowest calorie level is 1200 calories each day. Menus aim to achieve a healthy sustainable rate of weight loss of around 1-2lb per week.
On the Jenny Craig Diet Plan you learn to lose weight without giving up popular foods. Meals such as spaghetti bolognese, chicken curry and chilli con carne feature in the plan. The meals and snacks are packaged into portion sizes that are right for your particular weight loss needs.
A typical daily Jenny Craig Diet Plan menu includes Jenny Craig meals and snacks coupled with your choice of fresh fruits, fresh vegetables and low-fat dairy products. There is a Jenny Craig vegetarian diet programme as well. Jenny Craig menus are personalised to take into account likes and dislikes and any allergies or food intolerances.
The food on the Jenny Craig programme is designed by dieticians and limits sodium, added sugars and saturated fats. Also your dedicated consultant guides you to learn healthy cooking techniques so that you can eventually prepare your own nutritious healthy meals to maintain your weight loss.

3. Jenny Craig Diet Plan: Body
Your allocated consultant discusses with you your fitness levels and needs so that you work together to find a fitness plan that suits you. You start out at a fitness level programme suited to your current level of fitness and build n this to increase activity levels and your overall fitness levels. Combined with the food plan you gradually increasing your exercise to maximise your weight loss.
Jenny Craig Diet Plan Cost
The plan does include food delivered to your door and guidance from your own dedicated consultant who is conversant with your diet and weight loss needs and goals. The cost as advertised on the Jenny Craig official site is £11 per day (this is what it averages out to be). There are often offers on and at the date of this article the offer is to half this cost so the Jenny Craig Diet Plan cost per day s £5.50 for the frst two weeks programme. You need to contact the Jenny Craig Diet Plan team by freephone or request a callback via their online form on their website in order to proceed.
You can cancel the arrangement any time up to 7 days from the date the contract is concluded. Cancellation must be in writing. Within 30 days Jenny Craig will refund as relevant based on the terms they specify.
If you cancel this agreement any personal data which you have already provided to us will be deleted.
