Raw Food Diet
As it’s name indicates this weight loss health diet is all about eating only raw food. A daily raw food diet plan should be made up of two thirds of raw vegetables and one third of meat (but no pork), fish and dairy products. Celebrity dieters Uma Thurman, Demi Moore and fashion designer Donna Karan are all believed to be fans of this healthy weight loss plan.
The idea behind the diet plan is that raw food contains live enzymes to boost energy. These enzymes are usually destroyed during the cooking process so to get the maximum boost fro the live enzymes the focus is on eating raw food. Eating raw vegetables also helps burn more calories than eating cooked vegetables and more work is required in the digestion of raw vegetables than if they were cooked.
However be warned that dieters build up the amount of raw food in their diet slowly, especially if they are not used to eating large quantities of raw foods. This gives the body time to adapt. If you are interested in the raw food diet plan see Carol Alt’s books about Eating In The Raw. Carol Alt is from #New York andwas noticed waiting tables in her hometown. When she was 18, she tried modeling as a summer job to save for college. Her first break in modeling was in 1980, for the cover of Harper’s Bazaar magazine, but she shot to fame in 1982 when she was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She appeared on over 500 magazine covers and was the face of ad campaigns for Diet Pepsi and Cover Girl Cosmetics. She was the first model to produce her own posters and calendars. After refusing to pose nude throughout her entire career, Alt finally appeared on the cover and in a nude pictorial in Playboy’s December 2008 issue.
