Fish cakes are a tasty palm sized burger shaped fried battered fish and potato cake. Often strong in flavour they are a cheaper option to having a battered fish from the chippy. Great in a balm cakes with your chips!
Fish cakes are made of potato and filleted fish mix together with spices added. It is then either battered or sometimes covered in breadcrumbs and fried. The fish is typically white fish such as haddock or cod. Posher versions of the fish cake contain salmon and vegetables and are usually made with a breadcrumb coating.
